Our Story
In 2020, the founder and owner of FSI realised the challenges small business owners faced when trying to secure opportunities within big corporates.
Despite servicing big businesses or independent consumers, some small business owners lacked the professionalism, attention to detail, time management skills, and understanding of customer service that big corporates looked for to take a risk on them without jeopardising their big brands and reputation.
As a supporter and advocate for small businesses, the founder of FSI decided to dedicate her time to serving her purpose and helping small businesses close the gaps that were stopping their growth and threatening their stability. Drawing from her personal and professional experience, as well as the experience of small business owners she had worked with over the years, Free Spirit Investments was founded with the purpose to support and guide small businesses in reshaping generational legacies.
The goal of FSI is to help small businesses overcome their challenges by providing support and guidance in areas such as marketing, contract management, pricing, supply chain management, customer service, time & financial management skills and accounting. By doing so, FSI hopes to help small businesses become more professional, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, making them more attractive to big corporates and independent consumers alike.
In summary, FSI was founded in 2022 with the purpose of upskilling, supporting and guiding small businesses to overcome their challenges and reshape generational legacies.

About the Founder
Mmapule Tshabalala is a successful professional with extensive experience in various fields such as Sales, Marketing Research, Strategy Development, Training & Facilitation, Contract Management, Project Management, Real Estate and Facility Management.
She is a wife and mother to two sets of twins, 1 girl and 3 boys, and has formal qualifications in Marketing Management, Project Management, Six Sigma Green Belt, Executive and Management Coaching.
Aside from her professional achievements, Mmapule Tshabalala is a spiritual person who believes that everyone has an inner voice guiding them towards their life’s purpose. She encourages people to listen to this inner voice and work towards fulfilling their potential, despite any fears or self-doubt that they may face. She believes that everyone has something positive to offer, and that by collaborating and supporting each other, we can create positive legacies for future generations.
Mmapule Tshabalala’s philosophy is rooted in the idea that small businesses can become successful with the help of people who believe in them and provide support. She advocates for collaboration over competition, and believes that there is enough prosperity to go around for everyone.
